For generations, the Sebago Lake Cottage property served as a cherished gathering place for family and friends. When the homeowners decided to replace the original camp with a larger residence, their goal was to create a home that offered modern comfort while preserving the traditions and memories tied to the site.
Working with Architect, Stephen Blatt, Warren Construction Group constructed a 5,100-square-foot lakeside home that captures the warmth and character of a classic Maine cottage. Wide pine board finishes, thoughtfully designed living spaces, and a spacious sleeping porch create an inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and connection. One of the most meaningful features of the project is the preservation of the original outdoor fireplace, which was carefully retained during demolition and remains a central gathering place for family stories and lakeside evenings.
Although zoning requirements required the new home to be positioned farther from the shoreline, the design maintains a strong connection to the water and the property’s history. The result is a timeless lakeside retreat that honors the past while providing a beautiful setting for future generations to enjoy.
