Leaky houses & Blower tests
Maine is a majestic place to live, from the snowy winters to lazy summer days sent outside. Our homes are impacted by the changing temperatures. We have heating and cooling bills that can change as the years go on. One of the reasons is because air is leaking from our homes. Which can make them hard to heat and hard to cool. The only way to know whether your home is leaky or tight is to measure its air leakage rate with a blower door which can measure and help locate leaks in your home.
Burnt Wood Siding
Japanese burnt wood siding (Shou Sugi Ban) is a carbonized wood finish created by burning the surface of wood to preserve it. It is believed that the technique originated around the 18th century in the Sendai region, a port city on Japan’s east coast. We are currently working on a project in Coastal Maine using Shou Sugi Ban as the siding and creating a one-of-a-kind home for our clients!
the Concrete Trend
They say history repeats itself… the industrial revolution is now hitting the interior design market. Gone are the days when concrete was seen as unappealing and rough. With modernization and innovation, concrete now has style and elegance like never before. We had the opportunity to build a bar from concrete this spring, creating an amazing and unique design detail for our clients.
