Ask Peter Warren about building the Akin Learning Center and he’ll tell you about the Kents Hill School program housed there: “It’s a program that teaches a young person how to study effectively.” Along with the nuts and bolts of building, this is the kind of information that inspires us to do what we do. With a tight budget, we had to get creative in order to make a relatively low-cost building without diminishing quality. Collaborating closely with the Architect, we decided to use panelized construction to save time and money. In the end, the project was finished a month ahead of schedule.
